A little about us:

Alison and Jeremy Barnwell both grew up in Texas and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. We moved to Austin as soon as we could. Alison is using her degree in education as a first/second grade teacher at Rawson-Saunders, a private school for dyslexic children, here in Austin. Jeremy is using his degree in aquatic (fresh water) biology more than he thought he would running Barnison Farm. We both take great pleasure in providing our customers with the freshest, cleanest tasting poultry products you have ever had.

Most chicken bought at a grocery store has never set foot on soil.	Barnison Farm’s chickens spend their entire life on fresh organic pasture.
Confinement housing or “factory farming” raises around 10,000 birds in a single building which causes stress.	Our flock sizes are 100 birds or less.
“Factory farms” birds breath fecal dust which contains high percentages of ammonia.	Barnison Farm’s pastured poultry has fresh air/sunshine.
“Factory farm” birds are fed substances that enhance their appetite such as arsenic and other heavy metals.	Our chickens are fed only natural feed, vitamins and minerals.
Mechanical processing breaks intestines and pours fecal material over the carcass.	I, Jeremy Barnwell, personally process each and every one of our birds by hand with the utmost respect for the animal.
